Who Wore What Jewellery At Emmy Awards 2019
The 71st Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards was held on 22nd September 2019 in Los Angeles, United States and our Social Media feeds are flooded with the inspiring and offbeat looks from the show. This award show is highly regarded for the Prime Time Television shows and the viewers are excited to find out if their favorite stars won an award and also what kind of look did they bring to the Red Carpet.
The guests brought the latest trends in fashion and jewellery to this show which has stirred a lot of conversations and discussions for days to come. I particularly enjoyed the ongoing trends in the layered necklaces, statement earrings, and classic diamond pieces adorned by the celebrities. The popularity of White Gold and Platinum was quite evident from the jewellery worn at the event.
Statement Jewellery pieces that elevated the outfits
Zendaya stole the limelight with her exceptional Vera Wang outfit and her choice of jewellery pieces from the reputed French brand, Cartier. Her accessories included the statement 29.81 carats “Agrafe” cuff bracelet with 1,302 diamonds, “Panthère De Cartier” diamond earrings set with emeralds and onyx and the “Galanterie de Cartier” Ring set with black lacquer, emerald, and diamonds – all of the above in 18 kt White gold. The accents of emeralds and white gold beautifully complemented her gorgeous green dress.
Popularly known as Khaleesi and Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke definitely did justice to the Valentino Dress with her sleek hair and jewellery from the talented David Webb. David Webb is one of my favorite international jewellery designers and Emilia donned statement earrings crafted with cabochon opal drops, fluted cabochon sapphires, brilliant-cut diamonds and green enamel, all set in 18 kt Yellow Gold and platinum. The earrings were complemented with a statement matching “Grand Central” Ring with cabochon opal, green enamel and brilliant-cut diamonds that completed the look.
Men who brought the Bling to the Block
Queer Eye’s stylist, Tan France wore a traditional South Asian Gold sherwani and the 18 Kt Gold necklace from the Indian designer, Tarun Tahiliani. He also added the fluted chain bracelet and multiple rings from renowned international designer, David Yurman to add an edge to the desi (South Asian) outfit. His look is my personal favourite from Emmy Awards 2019.
Billy Porter won the Emmy award for his role in Pose and also made a spectacular entrance with a Custom Bejewelled Suit from Michael Kors. His custom jewellery and accessories were quite a conversation maker. The extravagant hat was custom made by the British Designer, Stephen Jones Millinery, the Diamond Gardenia Ring and the Moon-shaped bedazzled purse were designed by Oscar Heyman. He also showed off his custom Swarovski crystal nails done by CND ™ .
Creating a Forever-memorable look with Forevermark
Mandy Moore and Viola Davis definitely understand the essence of Drama and served a tribute to the American Glamour with their exceptional looks this Emmy 2019.
Mandy Moore looked stunning in her classic gown elevated by the statement cascade diamond earrings set with approx 15.41 cts diamonds in 18kt White Gold. She also stacked Three Diamond Eternity bands with round and fancy shaped diamonds weighing totally approx 9 cts all set in 18kt White Gold and a Diamond Bypass Ring with bold pear shaped diamonds weighing approx 2 cts in Platinum to finish the inspired American glamour look. The diamonds in these jewellery pieces are by the reputed Forevermark who ensure that their diamonds are responsibly sourced.
When asked about her choice of jewellery pieces, she said, “The inspiration for my Emmys look was “American glamour”, and nothing defines glamour more than the timeless Forevermark diamonds I am wearing tonight,”
Viola Davis brought the classic Hollywood glamour to the purple carpet with her Black-and-White gown which was complemented with multiple layered necklace set with Forevermark Diamonds. They started with the Forevermark Degrade Line necklace weighing approx 15.41 cts diamonds, a Diamond Choker of approx 12.35 cts and another diamond line necklace to heighten the drama of approx 32.76 cts all in 18kt white gold. She completed her look with a stunning Oval diamond ring surrounded with round and taper baguette diamonds set in Platinum and weighs approx 10.32 cts diamonds paired with classic princess cut diamond studs weighing approx 8.21 cts in 18kt white gold.
When asked about her statement layered necklaces, Viola’s stylist, Elizabeth Stewart said, “We just couldn’t stop there, so we added another necklace and then another and it became a major diamond necklace moment!”
