The Lotus Temple Ring that won the Guinness World record and our hearts!
We have all seen the power of Social media and how it connects people. One such interaction on Instagram happened with Mr. Prince Bhandari of Lakshikaa Jewels, to check “The Lotus Temple Ring” a masterpiece he curated which won the coveted Guinness Book of World record for a ring with the maximum number of diamonds.
This was showcased at the International Gemological Institute (IGI) booth at the recently held IIJS 2019 trade show in Mumbai.
Prernaa Makhariaa (PM): What was your inspiration in curating this diamond Ring?
Prince Bhandari (PB): We wanted to establish our brand globally and there was no other record besides Guinness Book of World records which would bring us so much fame.
PM: What are the number of diamonds that are present in this ring for it to receive the prestigious Guinness World record?
PB: Prernaaji, this ring has a miraculous 7,777 diamonds which is also considered auspicious.

PM: (Woah! takes a moment to register that number) Does this mean 7 is a lucky number for you?
PB: I feel like 7 is a lucky number for everyone. 7 days of a week, 7 continents, “Saptrishi” (the seven greatest sages of the Vedic realm) from the Hindu Vedic culture, these all represent the power of the number 7.
PM: How much time and how many craftsmen did it take to complete this masterpiece?
PB: From the conceptualization, designing, setting, and framing of this ring, it took about 18 months for us to finish it. A total of 12 members were involved in the whole process, these belonged to different departments where we had our expert from each field working on the 3D CAD design, polishing, soldering, setting of the ring.

PM: Tell us what is the color, clarity of the diamonds? Are they certified?
PB: We have used E-F color with VVS-VS clarity for the natural diamonds, certified by International Gemological Institute (IGI).
PM: With such high color, clarity of diamonds used, this ring must be exorbitantly priced?
PB: (Grins) We weren’t able to put a price tag on this ring that would justify it. We plan to auction this globally and hope that it receives the kind of appreciation that it deserves monetarily.
